In August of 2017, I finished, for the second time the book, 33 Days to Merciful Love by Fr. Michael Gaitley MC. It is a journey of daily learning more and more about how St. Therese of Lisieux, through her little way, came to make her offering to Jesus as Merciful Love.
She explained that Jesus’ heart is constantly pouring out graces but hardly anyone is receiving and enjoying them in their lives. Just imagine how His heart must grieve at the sight of all the agonizing souls in the world who only have to turn and see, accept and trust in order to revel in this abundance of grace. So St. Therese asked Jesus to give her those excess graces in order that she could take them and spread them far and wide in her circle of influence.
If only all of we, who are privileged to be in the know about this, would do the same. We can ask the help of Mother Mary, who is the first perfect human channel of grace, to take us completely into her hands and ”make us channels of these very graces for the whole world” and console the heart of Jesus.
